Hosted by the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT) and organized by Feng Chia University (FCU), the Human Resources Experience Sharing Forum for the Second Semester of Academic Year 2025–26 was held on June 12 at Xin Yu Yuan Garden on the FCU campus. Human resources directors and staff from 13 alliance member universities—including Chinese Culture University, Tunghai University, Tamkang University, Soochow University, Shih Hsin University, Shih Chien University, Fu Jen Catholic University, Ming Chuan University, Taipei Medical University, Tatung University, Chung Yuan Christian University, Providence University, and Feng Chia University—gathered to exchange views on key challenges facing human resource management in higher education. Through thematic discussions, experience sharing, and campus visits, participants explored innovative approaches and practical strategies for institutional talent management.

Since its establishment, the UAAT has promoted inter-university collaboration and resource sharing to strengthen exchanges in both academic and administrative affairs. The Human Resources Experience Sharing Forum has become one of the alliance’s key activities held each semester, providing a platform for dialogue on policy developments and best practices in personnel management.

The forum was chaired by Chao-Chan Wu, Chief Human Resources Officer of Feng Chia University, who led participants in discussions on current issues in higher education human resource governance. Representatives from member universities shared experiences regarding institutional regulations, organizational reforms, and implementation strategies, while also discussing challenges encountered in practice and exchanging insights on possible solutions.

This year’s forum was held at the newly revitalized Xin Yu Yuan Garden, which reopened last year. Participants also toured the Commons Building, one of Taiwan’s landmark interdisciplinary learning facilities designed by internationally renowned architect Kengo Kuma and completed in the same year. Both locations showcase FCU’s recent campus revitalization and infrastructure enhancement efforts. The welcoming and open learning environment provided attendees with opportunities to experience firsthand the University’s commitment to campus innovation and space activation.

FCU noted that the UAAT platform enables member institutions to develop a stable and collaborative network, helping universities collectively address the challenges posed by the rapidly changing higher education landscape. Through continued inter-university cooperation, experience sharing, and resource integration, alliance members seek to enhance human resource management quality, strengthen university governance, and contribute to the sustainable development of higher education in Taiwan.
