The 2026 Central Taiwan Cross-border E-commerce Competition, jointly organized by Feng Chia University’s Intelligent Cross-border E-commerce Innovation Research Center and the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT), held its final round at Feng Chia University on June 14. The event was inaugurated by Professor Chin-Yi Chen, Dean of Research and Development at Feng Chia University. The FCU team “International Sleepers” from the Department of International Business claimed the championship title.

Under the guidance of Cheng-Hsin Chiang, students Pei-Yan Chen, Pin-Hsuan Huang, Shu-Hua Wu, and Ting-An Chen formed the “International Sleepers” team and won first place in the 2026 Central Taiwan Cross-border E-commerce Competition.
This year’s competition partnered with 10 companies from central Taiwan, providing students with real-world business challenges. Ten finalist teams from National Changhua University of Education, National Taichung University of Science and Technology, Providence University, Tunghai University, and Feng Chia University competed after completing professional training sessions covering algorithm fundamentals, product planning, SEO strategies, and social media traffic generation.
Over three months of intensive industry–academia collaboration, participants conducted market research, implemented SEO strategies, managed social media video campaigns, and promoted products through English-language export marketing platforms, demonstrating effective application of classroom knowledge.
In the final results, “Disney Princesses on the Run” from National Taichung University of Science and Technology won second place, while FCU’s “Better Sales than Being Single” team took third place. Honorable Mentions were awarded to “Open All Night” (National Taichung University of Science and Technology), “Overseas Power 4” (National Changhua University of Education), and “University Students on the Move” (Providence University).
The championship team worked with Zhongyan International Co., Ltd. to optimize premium globe products sold through the company’s Amazon North America store. Their analysis covered product pages, advertising campaigns, and online storefront management, supported by performance data demonstrating measurable improvements.
Judges noted that many entries displayed a level of professionalism beyond typical student projects, particularly in understanding buyer perspectives and using data-driven analysis. Teams effectively identified overseas customer needs, leveraged AI tools and short-form videos, and successfully directed traffic from social media platforms to corporate websites.
The Intelligent Cross-border E-commerce Innovation Research Center stated that it will continue expanding hands-on industry training programs to cultivate cross-border e-commerce professionals with strong digital capabilities and global perspectives, thereby supporting the transformation and growth of Taiwan’s export industry.
