The 8th Feng Chia University English Presentation Contest, organized by the Foreign Language Center and sponsored by the Feng Chia University Alumni Educational Foundation of Taipei, successfully concluded this year. The competition provides students with a platform to showcase their English proficiency and creativity while partnering with alumni-owned businesses to connect classroom learning with industry expectations.

President Vey Wang of Feng Chia University, Ming-He Li, President of the FCU Alumni Association, Shu-Yuan Chou, Chairperson of the Feng Chia University Alumni Educational Foundation of Taipei, and representatives from seven alumni-owned enterprises attended the final round of the 8th English Presentation Contest to witness students’ creative achievements.
A total of 30 teams comprising 125 students registered for the competition. Following evaluation by five faculty judges, ten teams advanced to the final round. In addition, seven teams were selected by participating companies to receive the Creative Video Award. This year's collaborating alumni enterprises included Billy Trade Co., Ltd., Lin Ben Tang Co., Ltd., Jiahui Xiang Foods Co., Ltd., Da Fang Enterprise Co., Ltd., Farglory Group, OKLAO International Co., Ltd., and Lian Hwa Foods Corporation.

Following the preliminary round, 41 students advanced to the finals of the 2026 8th Feng Chia University English Presentation Contest.

Finalist teams took the stage one after another, demonstrating their ideas through fluent English presentations and creative storytelling.
After an intense final round on May 29, the championship was awarded to Three Peat, a team composed of students from the Department of Finance and the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science. Second place went to 40k or Nothing from the Bachelor's Program of International Business Administration in English. Third place was awarded to Babu, a multidisciplinary team featuring students from the Department of Finance, Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Urban Planning and Spatial Information, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and the Department of Aerospace and Systems Engineering.
The winning team, Three Peat, consists of Indonesian students and has now achieved outstanding results in all three of their appearances in the competition. Partnering with Da Fang Enterprise Co., Ltd., the team built its presentation around the theme “Performance in Motion.” Instead of relying on traditional product promotion, the students used dynamic sports visuals to demonstrate the brand’s strengths, delivering an engaging and professional presentation.
Among the notable entries, Strawberry Granules, which received both an Honorable Mention and the Creative Video Award, created a marketing video for a showerhead product from Billy Trade Co., Ltd. Centered on the theme “Change Your Daily Life,” the project highlighted common dormitory shower problems such as limescale buildup, weak water pressure, and leakage. Through close-up shots, humorous storytelling, and effective sound design, the team vividly illustrated the differences before and after using the product, successfully communicating the brand message. The video was later shared on Billy Trade's official social media page, giving the students’ work broader exposure.
Shu-Yuan Chou, Chairperson of the Feng Chia University Alumni Educational Foundation of Taipei, encouraged students by emphasizing that every presentation is a valuable learning experience and that setbacks should never discourage them. Reflecting on the competition's eighth year, she noted the remarkable creativity displayed by participants and echoed a message often emphasized by Jensen Huang, Chairman and CEO of NVIDIA: in the age of AI, storytelling, creativity, and judgment remain irreplaceable core competencies. She encouraged students to continue honing these skills throughout their university years and discover their own stage on which to shine.
