Feng Chia University Holds Graduation Ceremony at Virtuosi Hall, Spreading the Power of "Beyond"

The 114th Graduation Ceremony of Feng Chia University was held for the first time on June 7 at the newly completed Sheng-Jih Hall in Virtuosi Hall. Nearly a thousand graduates and their families and friends gathered to celebrate. This year's theme, "New Horizon and Beyond｜超越," symbolizes graduates courageously facing challenges and embarking on new journeys at this pivotal moment in their lives.

The 114th Graduation Ceremony of Feng Chia University was held on June 7 at the Virtuosi Hall.

This year, the university invited Yi-Ting Chen, a student from the Department of Cooperative Economics and recipient of the 2024 Presidential Education Award, to deliver a speech on behalf of the graduates. Her heartfelt sharing deeply moved the faculty, students, and the eight family members and friends who joined her, giving the spirit of "New Horizon and Beyond｜超越" its most profound interpretation on the stage of the Birthday Hall.

With a warm and sincere tone, she shared her life journey of living with spinal muscular atrophy. "Once, I could only sit in the classroom, watching my classmates run, wondering: Will I ever be able to move freely like them one day?" Faced with irreversible physical limitations, she chose not to let fate define her life but to find meaning in participation amidst challenges, see the value of learning within limitations, and cherish the growth experienced in every encounter.

Yi-Ting Chen, a student from the Department of Cooperative Economics and Social Enterprise Management, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, sharing her life journey of living with spinal muscular atrophy.

At the ceremony, the university specially organized the "President's Certificate Presentation - Wei's Help" activity, allowing graduates to freely register for a photo opportunity with President Wei Wang. This year, nearly 200 graduates signed up to participate, stepping onto the Birthday Hall stage after the ceremony to capture their unique moments of glory.

In life's journey, unexpected variables are inevitable, but it is these experiences that make each person stand firmly on their own stage. Regardless of background, circumstances, or choices, every member of Feng Chia University is embracing the future and surpassing themselves at this moment. Graduation is not the end but the beginning of a brand-new journey. On the road ahead, Feng Chia people will carry their beliefs and courage, heading toward their own "New Horizon and Beyond."
