Chin‑Chen Chang, the Mr. He Yiwu, Chair Professor at Feng Chia University, received an official letter today (12th) from the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI) in the United States, congratulating him on being elected as a 2025 Fellow. This year, a total of 86 scholars were selected, including Nvidia founder Jensen Huang, as well as top researchers from Google Brain, Google DeepMind, Facebook AI Research, and OpenAI. Professor Chang is the only fellow elected from Taiwan.NAAI has also invited Professor Chang to attend the induction ceremony in New York in March next year, where he will be formally presented with the Fellow Medal. This marks Professor Chang’s third international fellowship honor, following his election last year to both the Academia Europaea (AE) and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA)—a testament to his distinguished academic stature worldwide.

Over the years, Professor Chang has completed pioneering research in multimedia invisible digital watermarking, including embedding watermarks into multimedia content such as images, videos, and 3D models using cross‑domain deep learning techniques. These technologies are widely applicable to anti‑counterfeiting and tamper resistance, including secure packaging, copyright protection, information security, media integrity, and AR recognition—revealing immense market potential.
A Distinguished Scholar with Global Impact
Professor Chang is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Chinese Society of Computer Science (CS Fellow), and the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA Fellow).
He completed his studies at National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao Tung University, earning Taiwan’s first Doctor of Engineering in Computer Engineering in just two years. He has served as:
