Feng Chia University has successfully passed the third‑party certification of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System for the fourth consecutive year in 2024. During the University Affairs Meeting, President Wang, Wei signed the Environmental, Safety, Health, and Energy Management Policy, witnessed by all University administrators. President Wang, Wei reaffirmed the University’s commitment to achieving the guiding principles of “regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, implementation of environmental safety and health measures, and building a sustainable and resilient smart campus.” President Wang emphasized leading all faculty, staff, and students in practicing effective occupational safety and health management to achieve the goal of zero accidents and to fulfill the University’s social responsibility and sustainable operational mission.

Since July 2020, Feng Chia University has integrated autonomous safety and health management into the ISO 45001 framework. The Environmental Protection, Safety and Hygiene Management Center conducts hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety training annually. Through the implementation of the ISO 45001 system, the University has effectively reduced workplace hazards and risks, creating a safe, healthy, and harmonious working environment while promoting a stronger awareness of occupational safety and health.
