The University Entrance Committee for Admission (UECA) announced the enrollment results for the 2023 (Academic Year 112) distribution admissions today. Feng Chia University received a total of 1,098 distributed admission quotas, all of which were fully enrolled. This achievement follows the earlier success in the admission application round, where Feng Chia University set a nationwide record with 2,043 admitted students.
Feng Chia University is the only public or private university in Taiwan to surpass 2,000 admitted students through the application process, and one of the few private universities with zero unfilled quotas in the distribution results released today. This hard‑earned outcome reflects the trust and support the university has earned from parents and students across the country, and it stands as the best recognition of the efforts made by all faculty and staff.
Due to the impact of the declining birthrate, the environment for university operations has become increasingly challenging. According to statistics released by the University Entrance Committee for Admission, the total number of distribution admission quotas this year was 42,479, with 37,797 applicants registered. A total of 36,338 students were admitted, leaving 6,464 unfilled places, with nearly 30 universities unable to reach full enrollment.
In the face of these challenges, Feng Chia University has never slowed its pace of transformation. The construction of Virtuosi Hall, the ongoing implementation of innovative curriculum structures, the comprehensive staff training program, and continuous improvements to the Main Library all represent the university’s commitment to future‑oriented education.
These initiatives aim to provide students and all university personnel with a teaching and learning environment that keeps pace with global developments. This is Feng Chia University’s promise to education—and a demonstration of the university’s confidence in the future of higher learning.
