As the university application process enters its final stage, Feng Chia University, which has ranked first among private universities in overall institutional performance for 12 consecutive years, hosted the “Discover FCU” Campus Open Day on April 11, attracting more than 4,000 high school students and parents to campus.
In addition to helping prospective students explore authentic university life in advance, Feng Chia University thoughtfully prepared the popular hand‑shaken beverage brand DeJeng, symbolizing the blessing “drink right, gain admission,” to encourage students to face their May interviews with confidence and secure admission to their ideal departments.

The university prepared the popular beverage brand DeJeng, symbolizing best wishes for applicants to gain admission to their ideal programs.
The “Discover FCU” event featured a wide range of activities, including keynote talks introducing Feng Chia University and providing guidance on application portfolios and interviews, dedicated College Sessions, and special programs designed for students admitted through special selection and the Star Program. Participants were free to plan their own itineraries based on personal interests and engage in face‑to‑face conversations with faculty members and senior students. Through these direct interactions, students gained deeper insights into academic specialties, curriculum planning, and began envisioning their future university life.
Considering that keynote sessions in previous years were consistently filled to capacity, this year’s event expanded the program to three keynote sessions. In addition to the main venue at Shengri Hall, two additional classrooms were opened to ensure that walk‑in students and parents could also participate. The sessions opened with warm remarks from Wei Wang, President of Feng Chia University, who encouraged prospective students to make full use of the university’s abundant resources in the future. She urged them to become individuals “with depth” through the accumulation of knowledge, “with insight” by cultivating independent thinking amid information overload, and, most importantly, “with warmth” by embracing teamwork and empathy.

He provided a comprehensive overview of the university’s innovative academic systems and international exchange resources, while offering concrete guidance on key points for application portfolio preparation and interviews, highlighting important timelines and critical details to help applicants prepare with confidence.
The College Sessions were another major highlight of Discover FCU. Colleges and departments showcased academic projects, student club exhibitions, and even brought laboratory demonstrations into the event space. Faculty members and senior students worked together to answer questions from students and parents, using warm and approachable interactions to deepen participants’ understanding of Feng Chia University.
Each year, “Discover FCU” is more than just an in‑depth campus tour. It represents Feng Chia University’s sincere invitation to students across Taiwan—grounded in solid educational achievements and a warm commitment to student‑centered education—hoping to accompany every young learner on a journey to discover a better version of themselves.
During the College Sessions, students and parents engaged face‑to‑face with faculty members to learn more about academic specialties and future career pathways.
The diverse and thoughtfully designed activities ensured that all participants left Discover FCU with meaningful insights.
