Amazon Web Services (AWS) held “FCU x University AWSome Day” at Feng Chia University on April 29, attracting faculty members and students from the College of Innovation, College of Information and Electrical Engineering, and College of Business. The event combined cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and industry-academia collaboration, featuring introductions to the 2026 Taiwan Generative AI Hackathon, the AWS Educate Certification Support Program, and the AWS Campus Ambassador Program. Representatives from Cathay Financial Holdings also shared industry experiences and insights into current cloud technology trends.

Feng Chia University has been actively promoting cloud education since 2019 and officially became an AWS Partner Network (APN) partner and AWS Training Partner (ATP) in 2021. To help students stay aligned with rapidly evolving industry developments, the University has hosted University AWSome Day eight times since 2019. This long-standing collaboration reflects FCU’s continued commitment to cloud technology education and its strong partnership with AWS.

Chen-Jui Liang, Executive Director of the College of Innovation, emphasized in his opening remarks that AI and cloud computing have become essential drivers of digital transformation. He noted that FCU is not only advancing smart campus initiatives but also proactively aligning its educational programs with industry needs. University AWSome Day serves as both a platform for cultivating future technology talent and a bridge between academia and industry, helping students strengthen their workplace readiness.

AWS Technical Trainer Stanley Huang, AWS WWCO Global Train Delivery, presented an in-depth overview of cloud industry developments and introduced the latest applications of Amazon PartyRock and Amazon Bedrock, demonstrating how AWS technologies are enabling generative AI innovation and opening new possibilities for students interested in AI development.

FCU x University AWSome Day was held at Feng Chia University on April 29, attracting enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students across multiple academic disciplines.

University AWSome Day is designed specifically for university students and faculty members, providing a structured introduction to AWS cloud technologies and emerging generative AI trends. Through expert-led sessions, participants gain foundational knowledge while exploring practical applications of cloud services and AI tools.

As a key hub for cloud talent development, FCU’s Cloud Innovation Academy continues to provide AWS-certified training programs and professional development opportunities. The University is also preparing to launch a series of major competitions and experiential learning activities, including the 2026 Taiwan Generative AI Application Hackathon.

Through these initiatives, FCU aims to create stronger industry-academia connections and encourage students to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. By participating in competitions and hands-on projects, students can transform classroom learning into practical skills and strengthen the capabilities needed for future careers in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
