The University of Queensland (UQ), ranked among the world’s top 50 universities and a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight, once again brought its annual study-abroad event, UQ INFO DAY 2026, to Feng Chia University.
Since the two institutions jointly inaugurated UQ Global Connect–Taiwan, the first collaboration hub of its kind in Taiwan, in 2025, this year’s event marked the only official UQ information session held in Central Taiwan following the establishment of the center. The event attracted a large number of prospective students and parents eager to learn more about international study opportunities.

To provide comprehensive guidance on academic planning and overseas study pathways, the University of Queensland invited representatives from several academic units to attend in person, including:

Representatives offered one-on-one consultations, providing first-hand information on academic programs, scholarship opportunities, application requirements, and student life in Australia.
Through direct interaction with UQ faculty members and administrative staff, students interested in direct admission, dual-degree programs, or international study opportunities were able to gain a clearer understanding of potential academic pathways and future career prospects.
The event featured one-on-one consultations, offering first-hand information on academic programs, scholarship opportunities, admission requirements, and student life at the University of Queensland.
Another highlight of the event was the participation of ten student ambassadors from the International School of Technology and Management at Feng Chia University, who are currently enrolled in UQ dual bachelor’s degree programs in Electrical Engineering and Business.
These students, who will soon continue their studies in Australia, assisted with registration and event coordination while also taking the opportunity to interact with future members of the UQ administrative team. They shared their learning experiences at Feng Chia University and discussed their plans for transitioning into the third and fourth years of study at UQ.
Their firsthand experiences provided valuable insights and inspiration for younger students considering international programs and overseas academic opportunities.
Ten students from the International School of Technology and Management at Feng Chia University, enrolled in UQ dual bachelor’s degree programs in Electrical Engineering and Business, served as event ambassadors and received high praise from the UQ administrative team for their outstanding support.
Feng Chia University has long been committed to expanding international partnerships. Since establishing the International School of Technology and Management in 2014—the first institution of its kind in Taiwan—the university has actively developed substantive collaborations with leading universities around the world.
In recent years, with support from its Australia Office, Feng Chia has strengthened partnerships with major Australian universities, including the University of Queensland, Monash University, and the University of New South Wales, offering dual bachelor’s degree programs and dual master’s degree opportunities while continuing to expand students’ international learning options.
Looking ahead, Feng Chia University and the University of Queensland will continue using UQ Global Connect–Taiwan as a platform to deepen collaboration in areas such as dual-degree education, teaching exchange, and academic research.
Through strengthened educational partnerships and resource sharing, both institutions hope to cultivate globally minded talent and further advance higher education cooperation between Taiwan and Australia.
