To enhance faculty and staff benefits and respond to the government's 114th academic year salary adjustment policy for military, public, and educational personnel, Feng Chia University recently announced a 3% salary increase for all faculty and staff, effective January 1 this year. After receiving approval for the salary scale from the Ministry of Education, the university will issue a one-time payment today (29th) for the salary differences from January to May, showcasing its appreciation and commitment to faculty and staff, as well as its proactive measures to strengthen talent retention and recruitment.
This salary adjustment plan follows the salary adjustment scheme announced by the Executive Yuan, with a 3% increase applicable to both in-system and out-system faculty and staff. The salary payment process has been completed today.
Although private universities are not legally obligated to follow public school salary adjustments, Feng Chia University has voluntarily aligned with government policies, demonstrating a high level of responsibility consistent with the national education system. The university stated that this move not only helps stabilize faculty resources and improve teaching quality but also enhances organizational cohesion and overall morale, creating a favorable environment for sustainable talent development.
Facing changes in the higher education landscape and challenges posed by declining birth rates, Feng Chia University continues to invest in campus development and educational innovation. The "Virtuosi Hall," completed and inaugurated in February this year, marks an important milestone in the university's journey toward its centennial and symbolizes its confidence and commitment to sustainable operations.
The Feng Chia University Board of Trustees emphasized that the university's steady development relies on the collective efforts and contributions of all faculty and staff, and expressed gratitude for the long-term support and encouragement from over 230,000 alumni worldwide. With a spirit of "Virtue, Harmony, and Joy," the university hopes all faculty and staff will work together to realize the beautiful vision of "Greatness, Virtuosity, and Unity."

Located in the Taichung Shui-Nan Economic and Trade Park, the Virtuosi Hall, completed in February this year, serves as a base for cultivating students' competencies and interdisciplinary learning.
