Jointly organized by Feng Chia University's Office of Technology Development, Office of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, and Office of Industry-Academia Operations and Promotion, the "2025 Feng Chia University Technology Innovation Application Competition" underwent nearly six months of submissions and preliminary reviews. On May 2, the grand final and exhibition were held on the 8th floor of the Science and Aeronautics Building. The competition encouraged students to use innovative technology to solve practical problems, cultivating interdisciplinary integration capabilities. It attracted 70 student teams and over 300 faculty and students from across the university. Ultimately, 41 teams stood out and advanced to the finals, competing in the two main themes of "Digital Applications" and "Sustainable Development," showcasing their achievements.

Chairman Cheng-Shu Kao, Distinguished Chair Professor Bing-Chian Lee, and Juliana Sutanto, Vice Dean of Monash University in Australia (bottom row, fourth from right), along with other faculty members, attended the event to show their support.
The atmosphere was lively, with hundreds of students showcasing their projects in groups, attracting faculty, industry experts, and alumni from inside and outside the university to observe and exchange ideas. The participating students enthusiastically explained their projects and interacted actively, not only presenting fruitful results of academic and practical integration but also demonstrating the tangible outcomes of Feng Chia University's efforts in promoting innovative education.
President Wei Wang, in her speech, pointed out that Feng Chia University introduced the CDIO teaching concept during the tenure of former President Bing-Chian Lee, emphasizing interdisciplinary integration and practice-oriented learning. This approach allows students to solve real-world problems through hands-on experience, cultivating innovation and execution capabilities in the process. This competition is a concrete manifestation of the CDIO concept. Regardless of whether they win, standing on this stage represents growth and breakthroughs. She also announced that the university would provide advanced technical training and presentation guidance resources, as well as subsidies for participation in national and international competitions, helping students continue to improve and expand their horizons, allowing their creativity to shine.
Chairman Cheng-Shu Kao emotionally reflected on the 20-year journey of building the Science and Aeronautics Building, emphasizing that Feng Chia's success has always relied on the collective efforts of faculty and students. He praised the numerous teams of faculty and students participating in this competition, showcasing innovation and collaboration. He also announced on-site that the teams winning the "Excellence Gold Award" would receive an additional NT$10,000 from the Board of Trustees, a surprise that drew continuous applause and excitement from the audience.

The 2025 Feng Chia University Technology Innovation Application Competition awarded a total of 40 teams, with two teams in each category of "Digital Applications" and "Sustainable Development" receiving the highest honor, the "Excellence Gold Award."
Following this, Wen-Hui Pan, President of the Feng Chia Technology Alumni Association, also surprised everyone by announcing that all prizes for this year's competition would be "doubled," injecting energy and emotion into the ceremony with enthusiastic cheers and applause.
This year's competition focused on the two themes of "Digital Applications" and "Sustainable Development." The entries covered diverse areas such as AI systems, financial innovation, smart healthcare, educational technology, green energy, and environmental monitoring, fully demonstrating students' ability to integrate theory and practice, technology and society. Feng Chia University will continue to build innovative practice platforms, cultivating young talents with creative thinking, technical integration, and a sense of social responsibility.
