Facing the challenges of climate change and geopolitical instability, international youth are responding to the demands of the times with innovative thinking and concrete actions. Three international students from Feng Chia University, hailing from Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia, participated in the "UN-SDGs Bootcamp & Forum" held at Southeast Bangkok University in Thailand from April 29 to May 2. Together with youth leaders from over 30 countries worldwide, they explored "How Youth Can Drive Sustainable Transformation in an Era of Turbulence."

Abdoul Rachid Ouedraogo from Burkina Faso, Diana Arellano from Ecuador, and Rayhan Landep from Indonesia, three international students from Feng Chia University, participated in the "UN-SDGs Bootcamp & Forum."

Recommended by Cheng-Yung Chu, Distinguished Professor of the Master's Program in Green Energy Technology, and the Office of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, the participants included Abdoul Rachid Ouedraogo, a doctoral student in Hydraulic Engineering from Burkina Faso; Diana Arellano, a doctoral student in Green Energy from Ecuador; and Rayhan Landep, a doctoral student from Indonesia. The forum focused on "Youth Influence and Transnational Sustainable Actions," featuring highlights such as SDGs workshops, sustainability hackathons, community service initiatives, the Pay for Success (PFS) Sustainability Innovation Summit, keynote lectures, and international exchanges. The event concluded with a high-level forum and results presentation at the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) headquarters, where youth representatives from various countries jointly issued the "Bangkok Youth Declaration" and the "Bangkok Sustainability Solutions Book," demonstrating their commitment to promoting a sustainable global future and highlighting the critical role of youth leaders in global sustainability.

Youth leaders from 30 countries worldwide gathered to discuss contemporary turbulence and presented the "Bangkok Youth Declaration" and the "Bangkok Sustainability Solutions Book" at the UNESCAP headquarters.

The three Feng Chia University international students collaborated with youth from various countries in the hackathon competition and presented their results at the UNESCAP headquarters.

The three Feng Chia students actively participated and performed outstandingly in the forum, using the opportunity to showcase their research achievements and local practices on the international stage. Abdoul Rachid Ouedraogo shared his "Burkina Faso Sustainable Agriculture Project," which aims to raise international awareness of food security and rural development in West Africa. "This forum gave me the opportunity to speak for my country, which is deeply meaningful to me," he said.

Diana Arellano stated, "Collaborating with youth from different cultural backgrounds to think about global issues was an inspiring experience, bringing new perspectives and motivation to my doctoral research." Rayhan Landep expressed gratitude to Feng Chia University and Professor Chu for the recommendation, saying, "Participating in such a high-level international conference not only expanded my academic horizons but also paved the way for future international cooperation."

Feng Chia University emphasized that the school continues to implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by encouraging students to engage in global issues through various international participation and experiential learning opportunities. The university aims to cultivate more young action leaders with global perspectives and local practices, advancing alongside the world to create a sustainable future.
