A Pioneer in Malaysia’s Textile and Garment Industry
After graduating from Feng Chia University, Ma returned to Malaysia and immediately entered the textile industry, actively planning for entrepreneurship. In 1973, he co‑founded Gimmill Knitting Sdn. Bhd. with his brother Ma Wen‑Ming, alumnus Wang Lung‑Piao, and other Feng Chia alumni.

In 1976, the enterprise expanded and reorganized into Ramatex Berhad. With outstanding vision and unwavering determination, Ma introduced German fully automated control equipment and focused on high‑technology manufacturing such as textiles, dyeing, and knitwear production.

Under his leadership, the company built an international reputation for high quality and reliable service, establishing production facilities in Malaysia, Mainland China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Jordan. Ramatex has been repeatedly listed among the Top 500 Chinese Enterprises Worldwide by Yazhou Zhoukan (Asia Weekly), demonstrating Ma’s leadership in the global textile industry and his remarkable professional contributions.

A Lifelong Commitment to Education and Cultural Development
Guided by the belief that “Education must never be compromised, no matter how difficult the circumstances,” Ma has devoted himself to educational development in his hometown.

As the long‑serving Chairman of Yong Peng High School, his contributions include upgrading school facilities, providing scholarships, donating land in 2020 for a new campus, and enhancing the overall learning environment for teachers and students.

In the realm of cultural preservation, Ma launched the Yong Peng High School Book Series Workshop in 2019, publishing volumes on topics such as Yong Peng’s history, COVID‑19 documentation, and Malaysian social commentary. These works integrate insights from entrepreneurs, academics, and professionals from various fields, promoting Chinese culture and Chinese‑language education while embodying multicultural values and contemporary spirit.

An Outstanding Alumnus with Global Impact
With strong entrepreneurial spirit and compassion, Ma has continuously advanced talent cultivation, social development, and international academic exchange. His exceptional accomplishments across industry, education, and culture earned him recognition as Feng Chia University’s Fifth Outstanding Alumnus in 2003.

His contributions have had a profound influence on the global Chinese community and overseas Chinese society, making him a role model of leadership and dedication.
