The Innovation Center for Intelligent Transportation and Logistics of Feng Chia University has once again received international recognition for its outstanding performance in the field of intelligent transportation. On September 15, Professor Jau-Ming Su, the center's advisor, led the research team to Dubai to participate in the "2024 30th ITS World Congress."

At this congress, the Taiwan delegation consisted of 109 participants, including three professors, two doctoral students, and two alumni from the Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Innovation Center of Feng Chia University, making it the academic unit with the most participants from Taiwan. They presented four professional papers and actively engaged in international exchanges, demonstrating the research and talent cultivation capabilities of Taiwan and Feng Chia University in the field of intelligent transportation.

The four professional articles submitted by the Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Innovation Center of Feng Chia University at this congress were all accepted and published. The topics covered various aspects, including the social benefits of mobility services, the study of traffic flow prediction models for special events, the case sharing of the transportation service sharing platform in the Lishan area, and the research on the optimization of adaptive signals using AI. These research results not only showcase the center's extensive involvement and in-depth exploration in the field of intelligent transportation but also provide innovative ideas and solutions for solving real-world traffic problems.

In addition to paper presentations, the center's team actively participated in various forums and company visits, engaging in in-depth exchanges with international experts, scholars, and industry leaders. Advisor Su stated that through participation, the team not only gathered the latest information on the intelligent transportation industry and technology but also established connections with relevant companies, laying the foundation for the execution of subsequent cross-national industry-academia cooperation projects. This participation not only broadened the team's horizons and expanded their international perspective but also opened new avenues for international cooperation in the field of intelligent transportation for Feng Chia University.

It is worth mentioning that on the eve of the congress, Taiwan, jointly applied by the ITS Association and the Taipei City Government, successfully won the hosting rights for the 2029 ITS World Congress. This is of great significance for the development of Taiwan's intelligent transportation industry and provides a broader stage for the Intelligent Transportation and Logistics Innovation Center of Feng Chia University. In the future, the center will continue to focus on the dynamics related to the ITS industry and activities, actively participate in the preparatory work, and contribute professional strength to the successful hosting of the 2029 ITS World Congress.
