Feng Chia University's performance in the National Science Council's 113th Undergraduate Student Research Project once again broke the record, with both the number of applications and the number of approvals reaching the highest level in history, demonstrating the continuous innovation and growth of Feng Chia teachers and students in academic research. This year, Feng Chia University applied for 295 research projects, of which 147 were approved, with a total grant amount of more than 8 million yuan, and a pass rate of about 50%, higher than the national pass rate. This achievement not only reflects Feng Chia University's outstanding performance in teaching and academic research, but also proves the students' independent thinking and research capabilities that cannot be underestimated.
The National Science Council's Undergraduate Student Research Project is a way to cultivate students' independent thinking and research abilities, while also obtaining research funding support. It is also another extension of the teacher's teaching. Therefore, teachers and deans from all colleges and departments strongly encourage students to apply. The Feng Chia students who passed this time conducted eye-catching research in multiple fields, covering generative AI, finance, economics, and engineering technology. Among them, Wu Yun-en, a student of the Department of Communication Engineering, used AI technology to assist agricultural production and improve efficiency in his "Remote AI Farmer Helper" project. Huang Wei-xiang, a student of the Department of Automatic Control Engineering, improved the efficiency and fairness of traffic accident handling through AI technology in his "Traffic Accident Reconstruction and Intelligent Identification Assistance System Based on Generative AI". Lin Cai-rong, a student of the Department of Business Administration, studied the "Impact of ESG Information Disclosure on the Recycling Behavior Intention of Generation Z Consumers" and explored the impact of ESG information on young consumers' behavior.
The successful approval of these research projects not only provided students with valuable research experience, but also added highlights to their future academic and career paths. Feng Chia University will continue to support students in conducting innovative research, make more contributions to the academic and industrial development, and look forward to and expect these research projects to bring more breakthroughs and have a positive impact on society.
