In line with the 2030 Bilingual Nation Policy Development Blueprint, the Ministry of Education launched the "Bilingual Learning Program for College and University Students", and Feng Chia University's International College, School of Business, and Professional College of Architecture were designated as key development colleges for the academic years 112 to 114. To help teachers improve their English teaching skills and develop a teacher support system, Feng Chia University's Bilingual Teaching Resource Center actively organized EMI teacher training and empowerment activities. In addition to continuing to cooperate with international academic institutions on training programs, such as cooperating with The University of Adelaide, where 100 teachers have completed the training, Feng Chia University's Bilingual Teaching Resource Center also signed a "Letter of Intent" with National Sun Yat-sen University's Bilingual Education Resource Center in January this year to become a partner school.

Feng Chia University's Bilingual Teaching Resource Center and National Sun Yat-sen University's Bilingual Education Resource Center are partner schools and jointly held two EMI Teacher Empowerment Training Courses in January and June.

Feng Chia University's Bilingual Teaching Resource Center and National Sun Yat-sen University's Bilingual Education Resource Center co-organized two "EMI Teacher Empowerment Training Courses" for the central region on January 15-16 and June 24, respectively. The participating teachers came from all over Taiwan, and both events invited EMI Advisors from FSE Academic Exchange Foundation, professors from National Sun Yat-sen University, etc. to serve as lecturers. The content included workshops, teacher communities, micro-teaching demonstrations, etc., covering various topics such as EMI course design, enhancing student learning, discussing the use of generative AI tools to improve English teaching effectiveness, and how to guide students to think at different levels, strengthening EMI teachers' teaching capabilities and enabling them to exchange teaching experiences with EMI teachers from various colleges and universities in the central region.

After the completion of the second course, the participating teachers had completed the basic level of training courses, and more than 25 Feng Chia teachers received certificates. Through the feedback questionnaire collected after the course, the results showed that most of the participating teachers felt that the training course had substantial benefits for their EMI teaching, and they also highly praised the EMI teaching demonstration by the lecturers for providing valuable learning experiences for the trainees. The training content helped teachers clarify their understanding of the EMI framework and concepts, and also provided a platform for teachers to exchange teaching experiences, enriching participants' teaching skills and meeting the needs of the teaching field. The training course not only enhanced teachers' EMI teaching abilities and enthusiasm, but also established a better milestone for the future development of bilingual education.
