To celebrate more than 5,000 graduating students, Feng Chia University held a total of 56 commencement ceremonies, each filled with joy and heartfelt blessings. The 2024 Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 113 took place on the evening of June 1 in the Chi‑Yuan Hall. Despite heavy afternoon rain, the enthusiasm of the graduates and their families remained undiminished. Both Chi‑Yuan Hall and the Sixth International Conference Hall, where the ceremony was simultaneously livestreamed, were fully packed.
This year’s graduating class includes doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate students—over 5,000 in total. Among them, more than one hundred students completed Feng Chia University’s 2+2 dual‑degree programs, earning degrees from both Feng Chia and overseas partner universities, including several top‑100 institutions worldwide. In addition, four graduates completed the inaugural dual‑degree program jointly offered by Feng Chia University and Ton Duc Thang University in Vietnam, whose faculty members traveled to Taiwan to participate in the celebration.
During the ceremony, President Wang, Wei encouraged graduates to remember that behind every success lie challenges and dedicated effort. He urged them to stay steadfast, face setbacks with courage, broaden their worldview, and explore the world with their own eyes and feet. He expressed his hope that every graduate will make the best choices and create the brightest future.
Chairperson Gao, Cheng‑Shu reminded graduates that in a world filled with constant turbulence, cooperation and pragmatism are the keys to overcoming challenges and standing out.
Lee, Ming‑Ho, President of the Feng Chia Alumni Association, emphasized the importance of mutual support among alumni in an era of rapid technological advancement. He encouraged graduates to join local alumni chapters and benefit from the extensive network and valuable experience of Feng Chia University’s 220,000 alumni worldwide.
As tradition, outstanding students were honored during the ceremony through the presentation of awards including the Li‑De Award, Li‑Xue Award, Tian‑Xing Award, and Ren Award. This year’s Phi Tau Phi Honor Society members include alumnus Kun‑Shan Chen from the Department of Mechanical and Computer‑Aided Engineering, alumnus Yu‑Cheng Liu from the Ph.D. Program of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, and other representatives from each college.The ceremony concluded with remarks delivered on behalf of the graduating class by Chung‑En Liu, President of the 30th Student Association.

President Wang, Wei encourages graduates to cherish the efforts behind every success, stay resilient, and create the best future for themselves.

This year’s commencement theme, “Vision”, symbolizes the University’s hope that graduates will carry with them an expansive worldview—now and into the future. In addition to blessings from faculty members and fellow students, congratulatory messages from Feng Chia graduates currently studying abroad in the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Australia, China, and South Korea were shared. Although these students could not return to Taiwan due to ongoing exchange programs, they celebrated this milestone together through heartfelt video messages.
Their participation demonstrates the outcomes of Feng Chia University’s efforts to promote internationalization in recent years, offering students abundant opportunities for exchanges and dual‑degree pathways. The University hopes every graduate will continue to embrace the world with openness and confidence.This year also marks the final commencement ceremony to be held in Chi‑Yuan Hall; beginning next year, the University will celebrate commencement in Virtuosi Hall.
