Stanford University in the United States, using Scopus publication impact data, announced the 2024 "World's Top 2% Scientists" list in September 2025. This year, a total of 36 faculty members from Feng Chia University were included on the list, an increase from last year's 28, demonstrating continuous breakthroughs in academic research. Among them, 22 faculty members entered the "Career-long Scientific Impact Ranking (1960–2024)", with Professor Jerry J. Wu from the Department of Environmental Engineering and Science being recognized in both the Materials and Energy fields. Additionally, 12 faculty members were selected for the "2024 Annual Scientific Impact Ranking", with Professor Jia-Horng Lin from the Department of Fiber and Composite Materials being acknowledged in both the Materials and Polymers fields. Notably, this year, nine faculty members were listed in both rankings, two more than last year. Compared to last year, Feng Chia University showed growth in several indicators: the number of faculty included increased from 28 to 36; the "Career-long Scientific Impact Ranking" increased from 18 to 22; and the "Annual Scientific Impact Ranking" rose from 10 to 12. Especially, the number of faculty listed in both rankings grew from 6 to 9, highlighting that Feng Chia University faculty not only have a solid foundation in long-term research, but their recent achievements have also continued to receive international recognition and citations, further strengthening the university's overall research impact.
