Advanced optics and semiconductor industries are entering a critical stage of rapid integration and technological transformation. Cross-disciplinary collaboration among precision optics, thin-film processing, surface engineering, and semiconductor technologies will play an essential role in shaping next-generation products and future industrial competitiveness.
The 2026 Advanced Optics and Semiconductor Industry Forum will focus on advanced optics, thin-film and surface engineering, semiconductor processing technologies, and their industrial applications. Distinguished experts from German industry and research organizations, including VON ARDENNE and the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST (Fraunhofer IST), will join representatives from government, academia, research institutes, and industry in Taiwan to share their expertise and exchange perspectives.
The program will include opening remarks, three technical presentations, a panel discussion, and an on-site networking buffet lunch. The technical sessions will cover precision optics and optical components, advanced thin-film processes, surface engineering, semiconductor manufacturing technologies, and related industrial applications. The panel discussion will further explore potential opportunities for Taiwan–Germany cooperation in joint research and development, university–industry collaboration, and international collaborative projects.
Explore global technology trends, connect with Taiwan–Germany partners, and discover new opportunities in next-generation optics and semiconductor applications.
Organizers: Feng Chia University, Taichung City Government, Fraunhofer IST, VON ARDENNE
