Feng Chia University applied for membership in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2006 and earned its initial accreditation on February 3, 2014, becoming the ninth institution in Taiwan—and the first in Central Taiwan—to receive AACSB accreditation. According to AACSB regulations, all accredited schools must undergo a Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) every five years. On November 7, AACSB announced that Feng Chia University’s College of Business has successfully passed its third accreditation review.

This accreditation covers all departments and programs under the College of Business, all departments under the College of Finance, the Executive Master's Program of Business Administration, and two international dual-degree programs under the International School of Technology and Management:

  • the RMIT‑FCU 2+2 Bachelor's Program in Business and Innovation, and
  • the SJSU‑FCU 2+2 Bachelor's Program in Business Analytics.

As part of the world’s top 5% of business schools accredited by AACSB, all of Feng Chia University’s business-related departments have once again demonstrated outstanding performance by passing the accreditation process.

This year’s Peer Review Team consisted of Dr. Michael Solt, Dr. Yu Gyu‑Chang, and Dr. Kanitpong Tatchawan, all of whom have previously served as deans of leading business schools in the United States and Asia. Notably, Dr. Michael Solt has 12 years of review experience and successfully led his institution through four CIR reviews. The review team highly commended the university’s achievements in Innovation, Impact, and Engagement, highlighting the strong influence of FCU’s business education.

Furthermore, the team recognized the university’s efforts in advancing sustainability education over the past five years. During this period, Feng Chia University’s College of Business has not only continued integrating the CDIO teaching framework into its curriculum but has also actively incorporated sustainability topics. Through department‑level and college‑wide course development combined with team‑based competitions, FCU has strongly promoted sustainability education in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the principles of the circular green economy.

In pursuit of internationalization and in response to global educational trends, Feng Chia University has long invested in strengthening its curriculum by adopting the CDIO teaching model, aiming to enhance teaching quality and expand international learning opportunities. Passing the AACSB accreditation for the third time reaffirms FCU’s commitment to global competitiveness and represents a significant milestone in the university’s ongoing advancement toward international excellence.
