Feng Chia Choir received High Distinction Awards and the Excellence Award in National Student Music Competition.

The Feng Chia University Chorus (FCCU) joined the National Student Music Competition on March 3 at the Feng Yuan Huludun Cultural Center in Taichung City, Taiwan. All teams had won great honor.

The Feng Chia University Chorus won awards while wearing a mask.

The leader of the FCCU said, their performance, influenced by the epidemic, they were required to wear masks in the competition. However, under the teaching of their conductor, Ms. Yizhen Yang, the choir members were able to impress the judges through their training. Their passion for choral singing and intensive practice before the competition had touched the judges and won the High Distinction Award.

The judges praised the outstanding team spirit of FCCU, using voices to adjust the volume between each other. It's musicality, consistency, and choral spirits. The immersive teaching of Ms. Yizhen Yang makes students understand the stories behind it. Judges highly appreciated their signs with great emotion and interpreted the songs with dramatical tension. Judges also gave expectations and encouragement on vocal techniques, the control of breath length, and the position to sing in harmony with each other.
