Traffic accidents have always been the key to road safety, reducing the impact of traffic accidents on individuals and families needs help from society and the industry. Research on "Pricing of Taiwan Tour Bus Interconnection Policies" conducted by Distinguished Research Chair Professor Wen-Yen Hsu and Associate Professor Yen-Chih Chen had awarded their second scholarship on the MSIG Traffic Safety Research.

Associate Professor Yen-Chih Chen participated in the "MSIG Traffic Safety Research" award ceremony.

With the development of technology, insurance companies have started to use technology to improve the accuracy of pricing, hoping to increase the insurance rate of consumers, especially the low-risk group, and to increase the motivation of consumers to reduce expected losses after taking out insurance. User-Based Insurance (UBI) is recently one of the most popular auto insurance. The research aims to establish a reasonable pricing model for Taiwan's touring cars by adding mileage as a pricing factor. To accurately measure the riskiness of auto insurance, hoping the robust touring car insurance market can better protect the touring car industry, consumers, and other road users, promote social welfare and bring positive externalities. It is admirable that both teachers have selected for their research in two consecutive years, and it shows their contribution to improving the quality of traffic safety.
