In November 2020, the Statistics and Marketing Research Group of the Department of Statistics conducted a survey on the use and consumption behavior of the revitalization triple coupon of consumers in the Feng Chia business district and found that consumers in this district used the revitalization triple voucher for a higher proportion of food and clothing. They were 32.4% and 26.4% respectively, followed by daily necessities (17.8%) and entertainment (11.5%).
Regarding the consumption situation of the revitalization triple coupon: "Purchase products that are higher than the budget price" accounted for 41.1%, "products that can only be purchased with the revitalization triple coupon" accounted for 19.6%, and used for "goods that would normally be purchased" accounted for 19.6% 37.9%. Regarding the additional consumption amount of using the revitalization triple coupon, 9.4% of additional expenditures exceeding 3,000 yuan accounted for 9.4%, additional expenditures of more than 2,001~3,000 yuan accounted for 6.5%, additional expenditures exceeding 1,001~2,000 yuan accounted for 14.3%, and additional expenditures 501~ 1,000 yuan accounted for 21.3%, and only about 29.0% of those who would not spend extra. Using the revitalization triple coupon will result in additional consumption of more than 1,000 yuan, 42.2% of consumers "purchasing products above the budget price", and 46.2% of "products that can only be purchased with the revitalization triple coupon", both of which are significantly higher. Consumers of "goods that they usually buy" show that the revitalization triple coupon does have the effect of promoting consumption.
In terms of items purchased with the revitalization triple coupon, consumers who bought "goods that are usually purchased" and "products that can only be purchased with the revitalization triple coupon" have the highest proportion of purchases of food and beverage products, respectively, 42.2% And 33.2%, and consumers who "buy higher than budget prices" have the highest proportion of purchases of apparel, reaching 34.6%.
Based on the survey information of consumers in Fengjia business district and calculated based on the proportion of consumers' additional expenditures at different levels, if the maximum average amount of additional expenditures is assumed to be 6,000 yuan, the range of economic benefits driven by the revitalization of triple coupons will be introduced. Between 93.6 billion yuan and 99.6 billion yuan, it shows that the economic benefits brought about by the revitalization triple coupons issued last year were close to 100 billion yuan.
The Statistics and Marketing Research Group of the Department of Statistics at Feng Chia University used the survey information of 1,057 consumers in Feng Chia business district in November last year to estimate the missing value using statistical multiple interpolation methods and then estimated the overall consumer revitalization by three times. The status of coupon usage and the survey targets cover users of paper coupons and digital coupons with various binding methods. The estimated results obtained should be more worthy of reference.
