imCloud and ZUSO Generation cooperate to build a 5G information security protection network for enterprises
Since its establishment in April 2020, a spin-off company of Feng Chia University-imCloud CO., LTD., with the PHM technology of Professor Zhang Yuanren from the Department of Aerospace as the core, it has successfully cooperated with AUO, CNPC, Baocheng, and Hanxiang , Tiangong Precision, Ende Machinery and other industries to establish friendly cooperative relations. In order to provide more enterprise service projects and to cooperate with the national 5G development policy, Gizwits recently worked with ZUSO to develop a test environment for 5G information security protection and improve the level of information security for enterprises.
ZUSO Generation is an attack-oriented Taiwanese information security startup that specializes in attack techniques and threat analysis. The founder-IK is currently studying at the EMBA of Feng Chia University. He believes that many companies encounter ransomware attacks. , It is difficult to make the right treatment in the first time, and it may increase the difficulty of recovery work, destroy evidence and data, and cause unnecessary ransoms to be paid by the enterprise. Ransomware attack methods are very diverse. Sometimes they use new security vulnerabilities that occurred at the time, sometimes through artificial security misconfigurations, or attack companies' external services. Many security incidents start with the intrusion of vulnerable servers and computing resources in the company’s IT network. Professor Zhang Yuanren’s experience in visiting the industry believes that most companies consider themselves “very safe” because they are intranets. Through the Internet, there is no 100% security. It is necessary to implement a comprehensive pre-prevention mechanism or regularly update the system/service version to effectively reduce the risk of enterprises being attacked.
In order to create this test environment, the robot arm sponsored by igus is the test target, whether it is to capture signals from the robot arm and enter the cloud through the 5G core network for analysis, or directly perform real-time calculations on the edge computing computer, or even remotely through the 5G core network. The program that controls the PLC at the end can simulate attack scenarios. This cooperation is currently being actively carried out. In addition to the original team, Professor Zhang has also recruited outstanding new blood to join, allowing Xu Hekai, a graduate of the Department of Information Engineering, to participate in information security practice on the one hand, and continue to study for a master’s degree in Taiwan’s industry Information Security contributes its efforts.
