As early as June 2019, Feng Chia University assisted AU Optronics in applying for the "Industrial Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Big Data Analysis" corporate package course subsidy, and through education and training, the technology of smart manufacturing is deeply embedded in the company. This course was explained in the classroom by teacher Zhang Yuanren from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics using real data as an example, which greatly benefited the students. AU Optronics also initiated organizational changes in September of the same year and established an advanced manufacturing department to rapidly upgrade the skills of personnel within the enterprise and immediately put the technology on the production line.
As of the end of 2020, Mr. Zhang has helped AUO to import 146 projects, of which 43 projects have been introduced into the production line, attracting the attention of domestic industries; not only the opportunity for transformation of the manufacturing site, the education and training of talents, organizational changes and Strategic adjustments will also be driven by data to implement the goal of digital transformation. Chairman Peng Shuanglang of AU Optronics has set a KPI target of 800 projects for this (2021) year, so he once again entrusted Mr. Zhang to start the class, mainly focusing on fault prediction and health management (PHM) technology. Teacher Zhang's private class courses are well-known, and the students who have attended the class are highly satisfied, and it is the only technology that can really be applied to all the AI-related courses offered by the company so far.
