With the increasing threat of climate change and the global consensus of "Net Zero Emission by 2050", green energy development has become the focus of all countries. To create a sufficiently stable renewable energy supply chain, President Bing-Jean Lee of Feng Chia University and Mr. Zou, CEO of HydroTron Power Co., Ltd. signed an Industry-Academia Cooperation Memorandum. Two parties cooped to explore the potential of small hydropower generation, research verification of fields and technologies, industry-academia cooperation, and international cooperation and exchange. Both parties will effectively utilize the resources to enhance the development of the industry and cultivate talents.

President Bing-Jean Lee mentioned that Feng Chia University had a strong academic capacity with the Department of Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and Conservation, Green Energy and Biotechnology Industry Research Center, and the Construction and Disaster Prevention Research Center. CEO of HydroTron Power Co., Ltd. Mr. Zou emphasized that micro-hydropower had the least impact on the environment and ecology. Taiwan is born with great potential for water conservation, small hydropower can use mostly everywhere; in addition, the farmland water conservancy system is widespread, every drop of water is recyclable.

The faculties of the school and HydroTron Power Co., Ltd. are working together to create green energy for water conservation. Both hope to reach the goal of zero carbon emissions.
