The Chinese Society of Industrial Engineering recently announced the 110-year "Industrial Engineering Medal" winners. The Vice President of Feng Chia University Xiao Yaoren won the Industrial Engineering Medal for Service Contribution. The Industrial Engineering Medals are divided into three categories: "Academic Contribution", "Industrial Contribution" and "Service Contribution". Each category awards at most 2 awards and is awarded at the annual meeting.

Vice President Xiao Yaoren won the "Industrial Engineering Medal" in the 110-year Service Contribution category of the Chinese Society of Industrial Engineering.

Vice President Xiao is a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University. He has taught at Feng Chia University since 1992. He specializes in industrial engineering and management, resource planning and allocation, supply chain performance and management, project introduction performance and management, and industry Electronic analysis and planning, quality engineering, and preventive maintenance and maintenance management. Vice President Xiao has served as the first-level supervisor of the school for a long time. He has served as the Dean of the School of Advanced Education, the Dean of the School of Management, the General Director, the Director of R&D, and the Vice President concurrently as the Dean of the School of Energy.

In addition to school teaching and administrative services, Vice President Xiao also upholds the spirit of promoting and serving industrial engineering. Since 1996, he has successively served as member representative, deputy secretary-general, secretary-general, and convener of the Central District Working Group of the Chinese Society of Industrial Engineering.
