According to the list of the top 2% of scientists in the world published by professors of Stanford University in the United States in October 2020, there are 17 teachers and faculty members of our school. The list uses the long-term research results of scientists in various fields covered by more than 22,000 journals collected by the Scopus database, and is based on standardized literature citation index evaluation data, accumulated to the end of 2019, including paper citation status and H-index Number with co-authors, etc.

The 17 faculty members on the list are distributed in the following fields:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing (Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing)-Professor Zhang Zhen cheng of the Department of Information, Professor Lin Zongzhi of the Department of Electronics.
  • Applied Physics ─Professor Jin Joong-hoon of the Department of Materials (retired).Materials (Materials)-Huang Jinhuang Distinguished Professor of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical, Lin Jiahong Distinguished Professor of the Department of Fiber Reinforcement, Professor Zhang Yucheng of the Department of Materials, Professor Ye Junliang of the Department of Aerospace.
  • Energy-Professor Lin Qiuyu, Department of Environmental Sciences/Water Conservancy/Green Energy Center, and Ke Zehao Distinguished Professor in the Department of Materials.Operations Research ─Professor Li Wenjiong of the Department of Statistics (retired).
  • Optoelectronics & Photonics-Lifelong Distinguished Professor Lin Chensheng, Department of Automation, and Professor Ye Jianhong, Department of Optoelectronics.
  • Industrial Engineering & Automation ─Professor Mingzhe Zeng (deceased) of the International College, Professor Zhiqing Luo of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
  • Networking & Telecommunications-Distinguished Professor Shen Zhaoyuan of the Department of Electrical Engineering.
  • Mechanical Engineering & Transports-Song Qi in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics has a lifetime distinguished professor, and Professor Cai Chongxing in the Department of Civil Engineering (retired).
