Place: Tampere University of Technology (TUT) Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering Period: October-2011-September-2013 Project: Reducing biowaste volume (particularly of pig slurry) using innovative evaporator and ultrasound techniques. Nutrients (P and N) recirculation and reuse is an important part of the project. Opportunity: TUT is looking for a postgraduate or a post doc to join the team. The successful candidate must have good knowledge in inorganic chemistry and/or reactor design and operation: particularly for struvite precipitation (knowledge of Ion exchange is a plus). The successful person will have the opportunity to work with advanced measuring techniques such as optical profiling, SEM, RAMAN Spectroscopy, IC, etc. and participate in pilot design and operation.
